Meet Dr. Mitchell

My name is Dr. Matthew Mitchell and I am originally from Paducah but I have lived in the Louisville area since 2000. I love working with children in the dental environment. Many times, they are funny and sweet and provide tremendous fun for the office. I have a strong passion and great amount of patience for addressing the oral healthcare needs of children, and I strive to provide a comfortable, safe environment that eliminates the fears often associated with medical and dental offices.

I received my Bachelor of Science (BS) from Murray State University and my Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Louisville. I served a one-year hospital residency at University of Louisville Hospital. My pediatric dental certificate was earned after a year in the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine’s pediatric dental residency program, and a year at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry’s pediatric dental residency program.

I have successfully completed Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses. In addition, I am an active member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, and Louisville Dental Society.

Most of my personal time is spent with my wife Morgan, an orthodontist in the Louisville area, and our three precious sons: Camden, Weston, and Mason, and precious daughter: London. My other hobbies include classic and custom cars, watching and playing baseball, relaxing with a good movie, and dining out.
